This model is battery operated and ideal for clinic use. For more advanced applications like workers' compensation and functional capacity evaluation, consider the deluxe model. Data storage allows for instant recall, and the Bluetooth-enabled instrument displays the maximum (peak) value for each scan, along with calculated metrics such as the average (mean), standard deviation (SD), and coefficient of variation (CV). Users can toggle between lb and kg, and customize exertion and rest times.
Testing Protocols
- Quick Test: Measures maximum (peak) scan value.
- GST (General Strength) Test: Conducts three consecutive scans at the same grip level.
- RET (Rapid Exchange) Test: Six consecutive scans, alternating hands, available on the research model.
- MVE (Maximum Voluntary Effort) Test: A 5-grip position test requiring five scans.
- MMVE (Modified Maximum Voluntary Effort) Test: A 5-grip position test with one scan per grip level.
- Fatigue Test: Measures strength exertion over extended time periods, allowing for comparative analysis.
